Obama is outspending McCain, and so did Romney.
In the area of T.V advertising the Obama campaign is outspending McCain by a considerable margin. In the first week of October Obama spent 21 million on advertising compared to McCain and the RNC spending 12 million.
Obama is also outspending in most of the swing states, and he recently bought 30 minuets of prime time television for October 29th. The Obama camp is also expected to have nearly 100 million in the bank by election day. but the question is how much dose all of this matter.
I think that it's safe to say that having more money is a good thing, but it's not going to win Obama the election alone, just ask Mitt Romney about that. Mitt Romney outspent McCain in new Hampshire 7.3 million to 3.5 million, and McCain defeated Romney handily in New Hampshire. Romney also spent more money Overall in the republican primary until he got out of the race, so money isn't everything. McCain might be down in the polls, and he might be down in money, but he's been there before and came out on top, and he can do it again.

That's the thing that blows my mind. Think of all the money being wasted! How much money did Obama raise just for this election alone? What about all the under privileged people that he says he is for? What about sending some of that money back in to the hands of the people he relates with? Does the money spent on this election "stimulate" the economy?
Hey, how come Obama's not sharing the wealth? Shouldn't he consider himself a hypocrite for not giving some of that dough to the people behind him?
McCains problem is not so much how little money he is raising, although that is important, it is that he can't seem to close the deal when he brings up BO's past alliances.
It's the same character flaw that causes him to think it is a good thing to "reach across the aisle" to touch those whose ideas are the opposite of ours.
To paraphrase Obama, you can put expensive lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig
Yes, Romney outspent McCain, and I believe all the other candidates did too, although I'm not positive about that. And Kerry was ahead in the polls but Bush won. So Obama's money and lead in the polls tells us absolutely nothing. I wish people would understand that many people taking polls lie. Also, most polls are done during the day when hard-working conservatives are at work. I believe they are also done in cities. I'm not a youngster (far from it) and yet I have never been polled. I live in the country.
Yep, a lot of money being wasted on Obama, but considering who is donating to him, let their money be wasted. I don't really care.
